Porth Amlwch, Isle of Anglesey County Council, Holyhead

November 2020

Porth Amlwch is recognised as an important asset in the 2019 North Anglesey Economic Regeneration Plan (NAERP). A number of proposals for action and investment are identified to help the area respond to structural economic issues and to drive economic revitalisation across the area. The NAERP’s ‘Tourism Theme’ seeks to encourage investment in Porth Amlwch as part of developing attractions, visitor accommodation and destinations in North Anglesey.

Viet was involved in the comprehensive baseline study sufficient to inform the development of interventions which could be made to improve the social, economic and environmental conditions of the area. He was in discussion and was responsible for the illustrations of a series of proposals including the pedestrian drawbrige, the visitor centre, the watchtower conversion to a cafe, as well as parking, access and wayfinding upgrades for Chapel Street and the pontoon.
